Base functionality finished | 23-05-'25

The base functionality of the website is now finished. There is still bugs and lack of testing on other devices than a PC, but the base functionality is done and I'm happy!

Currently, the website does not work (as intended) on mobile. I have also not tested it on other devices and browsers other than mine.

My current priorities are making the basics work! Making it pretty (this includes the themes other than default) and making it function everywhere are an afterthought for now. I hope you understand!

Website progress | 01-05-'25

Over the past two days I have "finished" the Homepage (I will break it a million times and fix it a million times).

I went to work on the UTAU Singers menu based on a vision that came to me (it was just an idea) and it's slowly coming to life!

This website is so so ugly. But it works. Also, the light mode is so ugly. I never use light mode so I don't know what it's supposed to look like /shrug

I've finally gotten past my laziness - Google Sites shall be used no more!

I've always kind of wanted to code my own website but I was just too lazy to do it.
I've been using Google Sites for a while now and it's great for the basics, but once you start doing more advanced stuff it's... very limiting. After buying my own domain (welcome to shirukagiri.com!) a few days ago, I decided I would get over my fear of putting effort into stuff. So I picked up a pen and started writing - HTML and CSS. So far so good! It's not too hard and there's many things I can do with javascript that I can't do with... *checks notes* Google Sites embeds. Take a look at the sidebar on your right (on desktop): automatically updating embeds.... This took me SO long to implement in Google Sites for the YouTube video and I had given up on Bluesky in its entirety.

Overall I'm very happy with my progress so far :D
